>>Introduction
Booster is equipment for the network optimization in the mobile network that can enlarge the BTS coverage. It is widely used in the shaded area, high traffic load area and the pilot pollution area, etc.
 
>>Working Principle

The booster set two RF ports, receives UL/DL signals and amplifies them separately.
The Downlink: The booster receives the signal from a BTS antenna. Inside the booster, the Downlink (DL) signal is first separated from the Uplink (UL) signal by a DPX. The DL signal is then pre-attenuation by ATT unit which is convenient for debugging the gain. Before the DL signal is combined with the UL for duplexer operation by a DPX, the refined DL signal is amplified by DL PA unit. The amplified DL signal is transmitted by the output port marked To Service that is connected to the Service antenna, providing coverage in the intended area.
The Uplink: The booster receives the signal from a Service antenna. Inside the booster, the Uplink (UL) signal is first separated from the Downlink (DL) signal by a DPX. Before the UL signal is combined with the DL for duplexer operation by a DPX, the refined UL signal is amplified by UL amplifier (AMP_UL). The amplified UL signal is transmitted by the output port marked To BTS that is connected to the BTS antenna, providing coverage in the intended area.
